What exhaust options are left out there?

I recently purchased a bone stock 2009 XR and have started the hunt for an exhaust system or even slip ons. I really would like the Supertrapp slip on part #412-15000, but apparently there is nothing available anywhere on earth. Any other suggestions? Ive seen the Zard kit on ebay but spending $2500 and up is a little much.

-Save for a Termignoni from Italy. Pricey, but worth it to me in looks and sound. I bought mine off Ebay and arived in a few weeks. They also have slip-ons.

-Bassani still makes the 2-1 Roadradge II. Retails for $879.95, but you do have to buy the heatshields for an additional $200.00. This system originally came on my XR from the previous owner, and just didn't look right for me. Loud even with the serviceable fluted baffle inside.

I am sure there are others, but I only have experience with these two. it is getting closer to having to buy a complete bike to get an exhaust you want.

You can always try modifying a sportster system. Some here have done it. Different ones will require different things. I have the D&D carbon slip ons and love them. Don’t know whether they still offer them or not. You could call and see if they have one in the back LOL. Here’s their full system for a non-XR FWIW

Did you end up finding a new exhaust or slip-on cans? Appears the Supertrapp 412-15000 are no longer made but maybe the 422-25000 will fit as they look the same and seem to come in the correct size.

Hi there from Italy
Termignoni is worth it but €2500 is to much ... even Zard, good sound but €2200. I found in Italy a factory where you can buy tubes and splip-ons where you can bild your own by welding it together. There are pipes that are similar to Termignoni and it sound good. On my 2010 XR i found a couple of FMF installed by the previous owner.

I give you thi link where you can find some good stuff.

GPR makes slip-ons for the XR, and they sound & look good. They run almost $1,200 USD. I bought one of their mufflers for my Polaris ATV & it's amazing how much torque & top speed I gained. It also made it sound brappy, which I like!
