Having no lights in the UK means you are officially only allowed to ride it during 'day light hours', which is 1/2 an hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset .

Haha, I wondered if anyone would notice. I'm 5'8" short and I can't reach the end of the jiffy stand to put it down while on the bike. So the first thing I made for the bike was this extension. It tucks nicely up and out of the way while in the UP position. I can then use my toe or heal to easily reach it and push the stand down.
I put it on a weighbridge, it was 235kg or 518lbs, admittedly with only a bit of fuel but that's a significant reduction compared to stock. The " lighter" the better.....
how light can a xr1200 be?
I was thinking that too. Very clean. Mine are such a mess. But nothing has fallen off so far!Love the safety wire on bolts.
Feels like selling out who I was. Once I sell it, I'd never get it back.Just curious JoeP, why not?
I'm sorry, I worded that wrong.. why would you never own another XR?Feels like selling out who I was. Once I sell it, I'd never get it back.
Other times I think, "WTF am I keeping this for?"
Ooooh!I'm sorry, I worded that wrong.. why would you never own another XR?
What kind of weight reduction have you done to get to 518?I put it on a weighbridge, it was 235kg or 518lbs, admittedly with only a bit of fuel but that's a significant reduction compared to stock.
