Trans fluid change

Just bought this 09 XR and I swear the trans fluid has never been changed and I have no idea why folks forget about this ? Pulled the drain plug and what came out looked like diesel oil, black as can be and its probably original. Its a simple mait item that flushes out all the clutch plate particles and preserves your cutch and trans gears. All it takes is 1 qt of 20-50 motorcycle specific motor oil, I use the Lucas brand. While you are at it, in the inspection plate you can check your primary chain tension and adjust it as needed. Its easy to do, your trans will shift better with less drivetrain slop and your clutch will engage more smoothly and last longer.
