If you had to buy another/second Harley and it could not be an XR1200 (or X), which would it be?

If money were no object perhaps a SERG - screamin eagle road glide ($30K) but if money were an object as always then a softail Deluxe...

How about you?

2nd favorite

would be the standard Road Glide! I had an '05 that I moved to get the XR but I don't want or need the SERG for my touring needs. 96" and 6 speed and big bags and SE mufflers, and I am golden.

Buell Uly touring model. Not a Harley per se, but close enough. The XR is the only true Harley I would own. Liked the Street Rod but no longer in production.

Tough call. Street glide is pretty sweet. And I love the look of the Night Rod Special, but am too short to ride it comfortably. So I think I gotta go with a black Crossbones.

Actually I own it. Nothing I've ever owned in my life has given me more satisfaction than my SuperGlide does. If I had it to do over I might debate further between which Dyna but a Dyna it would be.
In fact, hate to say it but if one had to go, as much as I love it, the XR would go and the Dyna would stay. Pretty good to be able to say that after owning something for 9 years.

New or old? New: I like the style of the Nightster (ORANGE/black). I also like the V-rod with mid-controls.

Old: Obviously an XR750, an XR750TT and an XLCR. And what collection is complete without a VR 1000?

Well, having owned over 25 Harley's I feel qualified to say it would be another 09 Street Glide. I've had 3 Street Glides and 2 Electra Glides and the 09 Chassis is so far superior to the other's it's like the difference between an Iron Head Sporty and our XR's.
As for any others - I have had a couple of Dyna's - would NEVER own another. Had many Softails and in the right frame of mind I could do another striped down Drag Bar, 21" wheel style again. Probably no more Springers - they flex too much. Other Sporty's? Not likely. the Night Rod Special was cool looking (Bad Ass in fact) but you constantly fight that big tire, even trying to go straight they slightly pull to the left, it is tiring on a long ride! I rode mine from So Cal to Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. I left it in Colorado and bought a Street Glide to finish the trip and had it shipped home. I might think about doing an FXR "Oakland Style"

And naturally an XR7500, XLCR, VR1000, etc. would always be welcome

I've never had one of those retired man's rolling couches but I have had a secret desire to own an older Road King...don't tell anyone...

But since Harley now owns MV, that easily makes my second favorite Harley....

The Brutale....dude...that's like looking at porn...oops, this one's defective, the swingarm's missing...:pinch:

Just to clarify (and keep on Scotty's good side) when I said "retired man's rolling couch" I was referring to the chromed out, bling-bling, trailer pulling, Super-Electra-SVO-Shriner-Road-Glide-King types we have over here.....and no, I'm not saying anything bad about Shriners, or retired people, or anyone else I may have offended...[:)]

About 150lbs (700 V's 551 dry) and it will kick the XR's arse ;) :D

That's the way I took it too ( the couch comment), so figure 300 lbs. like I said.
As for your Softail, it will be ahead until we get to an actual corner :D
