I know it's only March but we have had more snow this year than past years. Probably due to the milder temperatures. This reminds me of the early 70's when we had snow up to almost the top of the roof of the house. No joke. I just finished clearing the snow with the snowblower and it just started again. Oh well, St. Patrick's day is on the 17th and it's usually a nice transition into spring. I know my fuzzy little guys are waiting too. Take care everyone. 🙂

I remember the storms in the 70's. Worked at a service center on the 401 for five years.
I would call the girlfriend ( now wife) and it would be "it's snowing, see you in 3 or 4 days" could you check on Dad and make sure he is Ok.
Not to bad in Ontario this year. Two weeks ago the neighbour was raking his yard.
Last Monday got rain, ice and 4" snow that turned into 4" of hard crust.
Last night got over 8" of snow with some rain. Plus high winds and thunder snow.
Now our front yard is 3 to 4 feet deep in shoveled snow from the sidewalk and plow bank.
Ma Nature can be Bitch.

I hear you. 15cm today alone. More snow on the way all through this upcoming week. The thing is that I keep on hearing about these power outages in different areas. I believe it’s probably with the time a lot of areas have become developed with a lot of housing and commercial. The utilities might now not be able to keep up with the increasing demand especially during the winter months. This did not happen during the 70’s. Sign of the times then and now.

Very nice 😊 What part of Germany do you live in? I was a little boy when I lived there for 3 years. My father was with the Canadian Armed Forces when we were stationed over there. Last year was Baden Baden.

I'm South of you Derek, in Massachusetts. We've had a weird winter for sure. Barely any snow at all, but not exactly warm either-- we've had a few deep freezes. One thing I've noticed over the last 10 years or so is that the lakes rarely freeze over enough for skating, fishing, etc. I grew up with those kinds of activities, and hearing snowmobiles blasting across the surrounding lakes all winter. I miss it. NH and VT are big snowmobile spots for us - I wonder how they've fared this year.

It is strange alright.
As I said in my earlier post I have snow piled up everywhere.
Went down to a friends place yesterday about thirty miles away.
No snow anywhere, fields were bare.

😮 The weather has been different this year, no mistake about that.

If you’re missing the snow, drop on by here. There’s another snowstorm heading this way on Tuesday… 10-15cm. Maybe it will miss us.

No snow where I live, but rain forecasted through Monday, with a two day break, then more rain for the next 10 days. The mountains will get more snow again.. I say we are getting what those have said, “We need the rain.” Now they are saying “…but not all at once.” I say be careful what you wish for.
