Pictures of XR Race Bikes

It’s been said that it would be good if shots of race bikes were in one thread so they don’t get lost with lots of other pics. I luuuuv the race bikes. The V&H series bikes were limited to certain mods but the bikes from other series were less confined and had room for handlebar changes and such.
In action or static here’s a place to put race bike pics. I’ll start with a couple favorites.

Which brand?
I pulled an eye muscle trying to read the name on the cans. It reminded me of the exhaust that member Lastplacedyna had made for his machine (Tyler Ohara’s old race bike). It was a tough search but I found it. I don’t think they were made by the same company but this Fab28 pipe is pretty sweet. I would guess the Suburban bikes have custom pipes. The head pipes look very Bassani Like tho

Can someone tell me what Ben Carlson is riding here? It has XR lines but is that a Soft tail frame? Is that a big twin?

Dwight, do you know how old this picture is? The Pan America is the new twin racebike, and would be my guess on this bike. Just a guess.
Love that primary cover detail.

Pan America is water cooled.
So the additional radiator at the the front of the frame looks like an additional cooler, thinking it is water cooled?
I don't care what anybody says.........liquid running through a radiator or whatever, when it boils down or comes to it, ..................It's all AIR COOLED. :)
Surely that's just an oil cooler. And I think I spy a KTM swing arm, likely part of the adaption to L side chain drive. Big twin?...sure looks like it. The way Carlson's climbing over the bike suggests it's a heavy lump that needs real encouragement to turn into the corner. Note also the 2 clevis's in the chassis at the bottom of the downtubes, plus the 2 parallel brackets just forward of the rear wheel, doesn't look original XR. Maybe adapted though. Just my .02.

Haha “heavy lump”. This may or may not be the same bike (other side) I’ve been looking at the Baggers Racing League F book page. A lot of the bikes use those aftermarket swingarm s. Those clevises are making me think big twin too
, Shack, but I really don’t have any knowledge in that area. This one has XR trees and forks along with the, in this case unnecessary, air intake opening. A ton of work into these.

Ok… I think I pulled my other eye muscle looking at Harley frames. I believe this to be a Dyna. The hole at the steering head and the bracketry are consistent.
I did a little searching for the word stinger and it looks to be an electronic outlet. The signature on the bike matches the same signature on this link..

Upon looking into my Stinger Link a little deeper, and that picture above, there is a phillips-head screw in the middle, so that device must be some sort of quick-release fitting. The Stinger Logo is slightly different on the decal, from the link.
Oh was I wrong, and Dwight was right. I sent an email to Joe at Suburban Harley-Davidson, and he replied with the following:

Good Moring Corey
Those trim washers can be bought through Parts Unlimited

They are made by Works Tank Washers.

That being the case, I'd go with Dyna frame, big block HD motor (so maybe matching numbers, which possibly the category he's racing in requires) and XR body work and forks. Appears to be a 17" front wheel also, which all makes sense. Either way it's impressive surgery.
