Dude!

You made that?! That's awesome!:clap:Great Design.

Awesome looking seat. I agree it would be a product that would sell. I usually carry the Harley tail bag behind my Stortz seat because the Harley bag doesn't talk back. LOL
If I change "baggage" I may need one of your seats. :pinch: Later,

That's the way to go for two up riding. Looks good. I like it better than the scrambler looking one I've seen posted here somewhere around here.

new seat

Thank you for the positive comments
I felt that the most difficult part was the (foam) job took awhile to get it right, I also took the long way for the fiberglass as I originaly tought to retain the stock bolting system.
A flat top under the foam as seen on the ebay add is probably the way to go as it will be more easy to attach the foam to the seat with velcro.
This one was a one shot only, I never tought about production, but I guess I could make some more.

The more I look at that seat the more I like it, but in my world I would like to be able to do a quick change from a single seat rear and when needed a quick change to this new pillion seat. It looks bloody good. :tank:

Excellent!

Hey Dusty,

Beautiful job on the seat. I don't know what you normally do for a living but I can think of something new you can do if you don't like your day job!

You really should consider a short production run on these seats and see where it takes you.

Again, beautiful job.

Congratulations,

Rick

Thanks Rick,

My Job is project manager/real estate agent, as a kid my first pay job was construting fiber glass kayaks on the side after school.
One problem to start any (production) now is the need of a dedicated work shop, fiber glass is very messy and the wife is very much on the clean side..
Let see how the economic will go :pinch:.

If you decide to make some, what would you charge. Since you used the original as a mold I take it my backrest, tie down rack would still fit, as well as the xt1200 saddlebags (which I plan to buy)

My wife loves to ride with me, but with the current seat rides over 20-30 miles are out of the question. rides over 120 are tough on me even
