Finally getting arounf to removing my forks to have the Race Tech Gold Valve Kit installed. I am not doing the work, just removing them, and reinstalling them.

My Harbor Freight MC Jack has 4 tie down hooks(blue), and am wondering where you all strap the other end on the bike? I see the rear foot rests as an obvious, but not all have these with your exhausts, so where on the front would you use when removing the forks? I do like the safety lock bar this one comes with, locking it at 3 positions(red).

I use one long strap for the front . I put the strap just in front of the gas tank across the frame left to right.
Once the bike is in air and I want to remove the front wheel assembly, I would put a car jack under back wheel to balance the bike and .help support the main jack.

@hhauto

Thank you. I have also read in searching, where the bike will "list" a little to the right side when lifted by this floor jack. Some have added something to adjust for this, where others do not.
