Hello
After selling my old 94 road king ( due to weight issues from the bike ,and bad back at the age of 60)
i am going to pick up tomorrow a 2008 XR1200

The test ride went good yesterday so i am exited to ride it the upcoming time.
Also here in the garage a 883 iron and a 1969 Triumph bonneville, both from my girlfriend

Greetings from the Netherlands, and ride safe

Howdy and welcome from Switzerland! The Road King looks very nice too! Looking forward to more pictures of your XR, does it still have the standard exhaust? How many kilometers on the clock?
Best regards, Christopher

Hi
Yes the XR has the original exhaust and 36000 kilometers .
It has a flyscreen but the rest is all stock.
I wanted a stock bike because the gouvernement rules about sound getting each year more heavier
With big fines if you get caught with a loud exhaust

Welcome from California, and thank you for sharing. The XR is not your normal H-D, so be prepared to answer a lot of questions asked about it. Many knowledgeable and experienced Members here , that can answer your questions. The search function is your best friend.
Welcome from Canada.
There are a few members from the Netherlands.
If you don't know the answer, it's not a dumb question.
Don't be afraid to ask.
Borio, Welcome in from Connecticut, USA, we are glad you found us. Looks like you found a nice stock example. in the best color! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine. Anything you need, or want to know about your XR1200 you can find here...all you have to do is ask. Also check out the search function, it can be very helpful.

Another resource that you are lucky enough to have in The Netherlands is Twin Motorcycles, owner Dris (he is a member here) has spent a lot of time and effort on accessories and modifications to Buells and specifically XR1200 motorcycles, I'm sure if you stop by his shop you'll be impressed with what he can do.

Regards
Roy
Hi Roy

Years ago i had a Buell X1

Regards
Borio

Welcome to The Forum from Idaho! Nice XR!
"Welkom" from Maastricht, Netherlands!!!!!
Welcome from Alabama (USA). Nice starter bike. I'm pretty sure you will be fine with the stock exhaust, it's about quiet as you can get.
Welcome, Nice XR you have there. Throw up a pic of the Triumph,, I love the older ones.. I had a 79 Bonni Special long time ago, one of my favorite bikes.
