I go to a big Volvo meet every year and see a lot of very sweet motor work, so I felt inspired. Look up IPD USA.As it should be!
That engine is beautiful! Nicely done!
Yes. They have been a huge help. They have a 'garage sale' every year and 100s of enthusiasts come out to play. I live about 20 miles from thereBoth of you no doubt know about this place then.

In fact, going to stay with a friend in Stockholm in May this year. As you can imagine, over there Volvo's are like Ford F150's in the US. Or Lada's in Russia. Or...

I watch those road races and it's a spectator contact sport. try to get an Isle of Mann race in every once in awhile too.Now that is motor racing how it used to be...pedal to the metal, on the very edge of control and spectators up close. Did I mention dangerous just to watch, also?
You can see how the "Scandinavian Flick" got going in rallying, with acutely cambered dirt roads and trees up close, very ready to punish drivers who wait until corner entry to hang the tail out. Great stuff. We had our share of boxy Volvo's in Aus, many are still around. Becoming a bit of a cult vehicle these days, built like tanks.

The variety of model years is astonishing. I like this video alot!Wonderful, thank you for showing us, that really is nice. I will continue to admire from a distance and maybe import my own one day!
I don't know if you are interested but they are popular for rallying in Scandinavia, maybe not the fastest but always driven with gusto. They are well designed, very strong and reliable.
