MadDogXR has organized this for the past years, and was wondering if he will be organizing it again this year? I will be happy to attend, and follow his lead, even if I have to ride to Bakersfield. Just trying to get this event started.
We can’t let the East Coast have more attend their ride than us. The weekend before Memorial Day is when this happens. Request your time off from work now. Start to prep your XR for this now.
a tax man f-up stripped me of all my trip funding, so i can only wish you Happy Trails from Oregon🥰. Keep safe and hope to see some awesome photos......😜😃
Which one of these wheels is bigger than the other…
Hwy 1 ended at Lucia, and we have to return around. Not before we plead to continue, but fail to get the approval. Address needed to go beyond this point.
Mike and Alex pretending to be accosted by Johnny Law. Seriously, was a cool guy, and let them touch the vehicle.
Because I am not the only one that likes to see maps, this was yesterdays route, and it worked out great!
Monterey Coast, south to where it was closed off due to road damage, then back up and inland to the Museum. Parked the bikes in Alex’s Garage, and walked to dinner. Got there in time for the Early Bird Special, because we are old, right? Walked back and watched a little motorcycle racing documentary.
I just want to throw this in here. MadDog and XRrunnrer CAN RIDE in the twisties. Beyond my comfort zone, so I stay within mine as I get use to this heavy, but fun XR. Don’t interpret this as they are crazy riders, but they meet and ride twice a week , and have been for more that 20 years. I’d ride with them anywhere. I only have about 1 year on my XR, and most is beck and forth to work. No backroads.
We did spend time looking each others bikes over to see what the other has done, like dogs when they meet for the first time, only without the butt-sniffing.
🤪😬🙄
Todays route has Alex and I leaving his place, heading to where MD and XR R are staying, breakfast, then up the coast to Santa Cruz, inland on Hwy 35 to Alice’s Restaurant for lunch. West to the coast on Hwy 84 to Hwy 1, then back south to Santa Cruz.
Duarte's in Pescadero used to have spme of the best green chile soup! I hear it is still good but not ad great as it once was. Oh wait! I guess that is the story for all of us!
Sounds like you had a great ride through.my.old neighborhood!
