Vacation (and money) well spent in California: Scotty mod. Now in the garage for installation, together with steel braided brakelines f+r and new tires. Turned out that the Road 5 and Q3+ are not for sale here in the Netherlands and the Scorcher 11 very expensive, so decided for the Road 4 GTs.

35c in the shade today and the sun is just like a hammer, so I hid in the workshop and put on my lovely new Gilles adjustable levers. My small and slightly creaky fingers are going to love them.

And made the fork tool detailed in the 'Forkumentary' thread, so I can install my Wilbers progressive springs and maybe some emulators- the Free Spirit ones seem a reasonable price, anyone got them? Faced off a bit of old water pipe in the lathe and welded in some lugs, and an old socket the other end to get a 1/2" square drive. Total cost? Zero! Got carried away and painted it, no idea why.

    Great work Mr Chips!
Any chance of closer look at those levers?

Thanks! I'll have a go when the bike's in the daylight, but this link should show them fairly well. They seem superbly made, and I see they're on the BMW HP2, which seems to be plastered with expensive farkles.

By the way the combination of the adjustable levers and the Muller clutch ramp thingy works well- You need to pull it all the way in, because you've traded less effort for more movement, but even with the lever closer to the 'bar there's enough movement to fully disengage the clutch. Very happy with this!

I just seen a bike for sale exactly like your bagger with that exact style of paint but it was base black bike with red graphics.

Got fed up with the mirrors below the handle bars, so made some bar ends to fit them above at the ends ? if that makes sense

Unfortunately the 1/2" of thread on the ends of the mirror stems was stripped, so ended up welding on a couple of SS allen bolts
Anyway if I like them I'll have to polish them up!

Don't normally go for painted sidecovers on XR's but these look cool to me.
