    Default Newcomer

Hello all. Happy to say that I am now the owner of an XR-1200. Not new to Harley, but will be asking opinions on such things as LED headlight, and why are there 2 different brands of tires on the bike (always thought that was a no-no) Probably won't matter because the previous owner must have really liked turning left because left side of tires are really worn. I ride an Ultra Limited right now, but this will be a fun tooling around bike. It will also look very nice sitting next to my Jay Springsteen XR-750.

Bartel's sponsored, Jim Kelly and Joe Bisha built. Jay won his last race on this one at Springfield in 2000 before he "retired"

Yes, confirmation on the pics query, very keen to see more. Meantime, I'll assume an enthusiast like you already knows about the folly of 2 different tire brands on the one bike. And yeah, drop in LED headlights are easy to source on eBay, try Eagle Lights. The 5-3/4" LED I got from them for a Sportster fitted easy and was about $80 AUD delivered vs. $400 AUD for the HD Daymaker over the counter at an HD $tealership. Works fine too and uses less than half the watts on low and/or high beam so easier starting as well. Welcome in from Melbourne, Australia.
