Default Looking for Vance and Hines Widow exhaust in Stainless Steel.

Hello guys, Looking for the Vance and Hines widow exhaust in Stainless Steel. I prefer the 37539 race kit, but would consider the 37537. I am guessing they are both Stainless, but the race version has less baffles?

hit me up if you have a set.

    thanks

If this is for real, it is almost a miracle! Stainless Steel versions are basically impossible to find .... Let me know if this helped. Cheers. Roberto

While I appreciate the link. I am pretty sure that is a spam site. You put in your email, and they just send you a bunch of garage emails.
But keep posting links if you see any others.
    thanks!

I would hate to see any of our fellow XR brothers get ripped off - quick Google search of the - 2040-parts.com - site has many scam related stories - another tip off might be that the LA map shown appears to be in Russian ?

Hey, not so fast, use a bit of Caveat Emptor here. Look at that map. It's partly in Russian. Odd, why? Go down to the news stories below the parts for sale. The stories are from 7 to 10 years ago. Why? Go into the blog section. Again, stuff from 6 years ago. Why is that? Look at the construction of the front page, looks a bit simplistic. Look at the order form, looks like somethng a child has constructed. Note also there's no address or phone no. for 2040 Parts.com.

I'd be hesitating to send these guys any money until they can provide evidence they are actually located in the USA and are a legit business, not scammers operating out of somewhere in Eastern Europe. Or Russia. Let the buyer beware.

Sorry...i was so excited to see a set of those pipes come on the market, that it didn't even occur to me that something might be devious in nature. I have to learn to be more cynical

They say "To the pure, all things are pure", Roy!

And I think that's probably a good sign.

Me, I'm just a bit more suspicious by nature. But having an active BS detector has also saved my butt a few times.

Maybe he is willing to sell the exhaust separately; if the price is right...

Sadly, the good aftermarket parts for our XR's have all but dried up, and are no longer available

If you can't find the stainless version, another option could be to a find the more common black version and have them ceramic stainless coated. Here is a Bassani ceramic stainless coated.

Personally I think Hutch (?) exhaust his team developed is better fit and looking on bike but not having specs not something to make in my shed expecting same performance thru whole rev range. Dont know if a number plate can fit either, Cops here wouldnt like it shifted down low and not so visible (for our speed cameras) but it looks the ducks nuts IMHO.

Yes, when I first bought the bike it had a Vance and Hines exhaust on it. The header wrap the previous owner put on the exhaust rusted and heat cracked the rear pipe, so I swapped it out for the Bassani exhaust.
