    Default MOTO GP 2020

Shaping up to be an interesting year.

Aprilia has made substantial and needed upgrades. Would be cool to see A. Espargo get at least one podium - maybe Phillip Island. Innnone did well there (though maybe he was aided by juicing?).

Speaking of one podium, it would be nice to see this guy on the top step, at least once (come on!):

Not sure what is in the works for Ducati, but if they don't get their shit together, we are going to be seeing one (1) Honda, and at least two (2) Yamahas taking up most of the podium spots.

I don't think 2020 is going to be his year, but mark my words, if this guy can survive, and KTM keeps up its efforts, you will be reading about #33 in 2021 (he is that good):

Unless, you see Yamaha get some horsepower in the off season, my guess is you will be seeing a lot of this:

Cant wait to watch Mark Marquez and Fabio Quartataro battle each other in 2020. Who will have more crashes and wins?

It could be interesting with the two
Marquez brothers in the same camp, will Marc set a good example and perhaps not push it quite as much, although quite often he does seem to save the un-saveable, or will sibling rivalary push him even further

    Then throw
Quartataro into the mix on the A spec Yamaha, already setting fastest times in Nov 1st practice session and the 2020 season does promise to be good, so roll on Qatar in March

I wish Alex the best of luck, but other than in practice sessions, I don't think you will see him that close to Marc again this year, let alone in front!

All I know for sure is there will be a great deal more hand to hand combat in Moto GP than you'd ever get in F1. The snore factor in F1 circa 2019 had me voluntarily turning off and going to bed (we get most of the races starting at 11pm EST) from two thirds of the season onwards. It doesn't seem to matter that MotoGP also has a pre eminent brand in Honda and a pre eminent ace in Marquez who win most races and most championships, the rest of the field bring so much vitality and interest/action to each race that it's still highly watchable. Still on free to air here, an added bonus. Go Jack Miller, you good thing.

Wow, Joe Robert on pole for Moto2. No one could have called that a month ago. Great stuff for the Californian. Let's hope he has a good year. Looking forward to the race.

The guy has to realize that there will be more races and he can have a long career. A little patience would have served him well. He could have waited for a safer turn to close the gap, or frankly, taken third and called it a victory, especially after going off track. Instead, he gets zero points, and may miss a few races (although, who knows with that guy, he may show up next week in a cast).

To quote (or maybe paraphrase) Mat Oxley, 'you can't ask the tiger not to go for the kill'. What got him there is what got him to push harder. Not a fan of the guy but he is the best rider I've ever seen.

    Nasty crash.

He sure was moving through the field after his excursion though the gravel runoff. Imagine what the other riders were thinking when they saw him out in the gravel at high speed. He was leading the field at the time, and pretty much every rider in the field passed him and saw him in the gravel. No doubt they probably thought he was going down, and they probably counted him out.

Imagine their thoughts as he passed nearly every one of them. That was an amazing ride, up until the high side. Hope he recovers quickly, he is fun to watch.

The guy can ride, that's for sure. He has had more dramatic saves than anyone.
For us race starved fans of racing, it was great to have something to finally watch.
