Default Vintage Bikes in a Vineyard

The Ottawa Chapter of the CVMA had a small vintage bike show at an interesting location. The Potter Settlement Vineyard and Artisan Winery was hosting this production, and I suspect "Artisan" means expensive.
Actually, I know it does because two of my riding buddies bought a bottle each, at $30, and $40.
I drink what Rumpole called "plonk", and find it just fine.
    Here are some pics.......................

This one reminded me of the first motorcycle I ever rode on (as a passenger) in Glasgow in the early 50s. This is a 125, and the Glasgow one was a 250 Bantam.

My personal "Best in Show" was a tie......a beautiful Benelli Sei, and a Honda MT125, (I love those small displacement racebikes ).

That is some nice collector iron there! Did they kick you out of the sample room?

Au contraire, mon ami.....(a little French is appropriate for an Artisan Winery )

They were indeed offering samples, but I didn't think it was a good idea. It was about 90*F, felt like 100*F with the humidity, so I was a bit dehydrated. Probably not a good idea to hydrate with wine....we did stop on the way home at a HD dealership (Motosport Plus in Kingston) and enjoyed some complimentary water and a couple of Rice Krispy bars to get us home. So, HD dealers are good for something. Priced a CVO RoadGlide, or maybe StreetGlide, $53,000+ !!! Of course, that's Cdn $, so you can convert to minus 30%.

Great pictures flattrkr. I have not been to a good show in Pennsylvania this year. Seems no one wants to take their pride and joy out in the stinking rain we have been having.

I agree about the Benelli. Have always wanted the 900 version. Years ago, you could pick one up cheap...those days are gone.

Thanks for sharing Harry. The one Suzuki looked like it might have been a rotory model.

Rumpole references and vintage motorcycles, only fitting. Sounds like a fine day. The Benelli is something, and so clean. Some guys just know how to take care of their things.
