    The neighbours still like it........but........
I got a set of near new origin Exausts to modify a little.Lets see whats gonna happen next...))).
Nope,im not tryin to disturbing anybody but these european bikes are a little less noisy.
So im tryin to modify the internals a little. Its easy because the dampers are just rivetted.Tx to the company.
With the Stage1 filter,a new mapping and the oem lookin exaust im on the right road.I dont pay anybody 3000,-$ for a Exaust system,,,legal lookalike" .
My Oilcooler kit just in and i will mount em today. Its not Plug&Play but will cost 30% from the HD cooler kit.Its a13 Row Cooler from the race shop.
The only problem will be the crank sensor.I have to take em out every oilchange but thats no big deal. Will report.

Okay, first try.No space and some minor modifications but........it works.Tomorrow next Try.Shorten a Bolt&Hose, create a Bracket for the Cooler and a shorter Filter or removing the Sensor. If its easy i let the Filter as is.

    Okay.Next step.

Found the right Oilfilter.Shorter than the oem Filter. With a One-way valve to keep oil in the System to the Pan and the Cooler allways full of Oil.
A Plus of 0,5 Qrt is a welcome Plus.
I had to remove the Cranksensor but it works fine.Every 2 Summer removing the Shifter & Sensor. So what.
Startin the Engine first shows warm Oil runs throu the Cooler after 2 Minutes.Next will construct a Bracket to keep the Cooler at the right place.

What to do on a rainy friday?
Waiting for the right moment to wash the Fat Bob.2011 modells ar poor quality, rust on the Screws & Bolts and Chrome is common.
I got a cheap oem Exaust near new without slashcut Tips as origin.Drilling the rivets out, taken the inner Wool out and the sound is a little more masculine. But have to drill the lower inner Damper next.
Oh,the XRX is still sleeping under the cover ...........sad.

That's a gnarly looking Fat Bob there, RR. Congrats on the mods.

Would I be out of line to suggest painting the oil cooler black before final fitment? Just a thought.

    Yes.

The Fat Bob is a oldschool looking bike and its a monster on photos.
But once in the saddle, starting the engine that thing feels good on the first mile.

If the cooler is located at the right point,up or lower mount, it will be black because it will be more out if sight.
The cooler has some ,,ears",its a little wide but thats the price for a 13 Row cooler and a plus 0,5 pint more oil.
Will cut em off when its clear no further need .
Found a Thermostate regulatet oilfiltermount......for 50,-$.Will buy it next summer and use em when the first oilchange is near
That Racing stuff is a little tricky to mount on a bike ,people says it will not fit,but im on the right road.....

Sry for im Late but 3 Jobs and some Issues with my Back keeping my away from the Forum.

After 2500 miles on the FatBob im think about selling my XR next Year.I hate it but a very bad Experience with a Hump in the road when setting my Suspension last Year.
My Intervertebral Disc is ruined now over the Years and the,,Shot" when hitting the Hump has left a Injury i ignored for a long Time.
After using the FatBob and the XRX i figured out its the Seat and the Sportive character of the bike costing me a lot of sleepless nights and Days.
When using the Fat Bob no Issues after 300mls.Using the XRX for a Daytrip costs me 3 Nights without any Sleep.
Symtomes like electrical Impulse in the Legs and some more bad Feelings.
Im in my 60ies now and hope to ride a Bike till to the End.Unfortunately i invested a lot of Bucks this Winter.
The XRX will have 25000miles on the Odo in November what makes it not easy to sell. But no worries about it because the crash last year financed the XRX up to 90% of its worth.

The Fat Bob is a Runner and right up what i need in this Situation.I had the Chance to Testride Low Rider,Street Bob and Fat Bob last Summer. And my Back says Fat Bob.....)))))).

Lets see whats goin on next.Easter weekend says lots of Sun...........................

    RR

    I've missed you .

So sorry to hear of your back issues ,but one has to put health first .

At least you've found a bike that will allow you to keep riding .....

    Tx.
I try to keep the XRX as long as possible. It was my dayly driver last year (Lucky) but the last 2 month when season starts i allways took the Fat Bob for a ride.

If i was 50+- again i would buy a better seat and thats it.But today,60+ i dont invest 400$ for a cheap Mexican produced seat which is not workin and fittin nasty.
I tryed a aftermarked seat ,no way. This Summer i keep the XRX in the stable and maybe i will start to put the origin parts on i stored.

The best thing to do is ,Go to a Doctor first End of April will make a apointment to him.

Just in and fits in a Minute....))))
