Kramer's new 790. If this thing gets homologated it will dominate MotoAmerica twins.

Seamus, it's a turn on indeed....beautiful. I'd love to see one race. Apparently Kramer did one with the KTM 690 single, so this is a logical progression.
    Nice write-up at
    https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bik...ototype-debut/

I met my local KTM dealer at the Gearheads BBQ on Saturday. I was riding my 1290 SDGT, and after we talked about it, I asked when the 790 would be available. He wasn't specific, but said he had ordered 8 and had 2 sold already, sight unseen. He said he was looking forward to the 790 "Adventure" model.

There is a dealer near me offering test rides on the 13th for the 790 Duke. Thinking about it. May consider a straight up trade for my kitted 1190.

If you wanted to trade up a bit from the 790, you might look at the RC16. KTM came out with that strange announcement in 2015 that the RC8 was "too dangerous for public roads", but now apparently you can order a RC16 from the factory with, I believe, a V4 engine and something like 240 HP. Mind you, you would need somewhere between 100,000 and 120,000 euros.

I am hoping this comes to the states and I have sufficient funds at the time. I would buy this in a heartbeat.

Oh,,,,, you KNOW I would. Even with the completely mental safety aspects that this contraption has, even with all the laughable things that can go wrong with this lunatic design, even knowing all that you bet your azz I would see what she could do.

Certainly would lend a whole new dimension of meaning to "dropping it", wouldn't it?

I am always vastly amused when someone "streetifies" what is usually seen only in race trim. I have drooled over street-going XR750s although I suspect they are not really all that entertaining to ride ON the street.
This caught my eye the other day,

If you are not turned on by the thought of a TZ750, I found this other "turn on".
It certainly won't go as fast, but it is such a little jewel, I think I could just park it and look at it, and admire the talent of the builder.
There are more pics and the full story on Pipeburn for anyone interested.

    Two things.

One, looking at that exhaust I will guess that the builder has something to do with engineering at HD. That thing looks like it weighs 3 time more than necessary to get the job done. It's cool but looks like there is enough steel in it to make a smart car.

Two. Ain't no way I would trust my life to that steering setup.

All the detail work is outstanding and obviously done to a high standard.

While I do dig the FTR 1200, I'm hanging to see this it looks pretty cool. Triumph Speedtwin, funny swings and round abouts - that was the first motor cycle I bought when I was 18yrs a 1960 triumph speed twin

I thought a man with your sense of adventure would welcome the chance to try an Earles-type fork design. It was a popular design back in the day.
Much as I'd like to try it, it's not likely to be ridden by anyone other than the custom builder, since it is just a one-off design competition build.

Here's a close up of the exhaust...apparently enclosed in a chrome housing, meant to resemble the standard Royal Enfield battery box. It might not be a HD style typical heavyweight piece.
Maybe he felt he had to add a RE "tribute, since he only incorporated the 350cc Bullet engine, and the wiring harness. Everything else was added.

Somebody at Bike EXIF thinks this is a cool XR mod: http://www.bikeexif.com/custom-harley-davidson-xr1200x. It’s not my cup of tea.
Somebody also doesn’t know how to seat the oil tank cap.

There should be laws against this kind of vandalism. It's horrible, and horribly confused.
