Arch strike me as kind of the American Diavel, as above, apart from the hp and refinement deficits. And forward controls. Plus some Hollywood cachet, courtesy Mr Reeves. Good thing there's a little fairing because the low rise bars and fwd controls suggest the classic windsock riding position otw.

Yeah Shack, I'm not a big forward controls fan myself. Only bike I ever liked them on were the FXWG's

I, too, dig the Arch. It looks like something John Wick would ride

But for $70/80K I think I’d buy a new KTM 1290 Super Adventure and put the $60000 change in the bank.

YIKES! I never really knew how much they'd cost, but yeah, that's out of hand! You can buy a lot of nice mc's for that price. Hell, you could probably buy 3 Pan America's for that price!

I think the Pan America could be sooooo cool ..... but that fairing/windshield looks like it belongs to a ‘57 Chevy, it’s gotta go ..... and that pipe needs to be tamed 😜

The pipe is not bad for today's standards. And even the ADV guys change their pipes. So I wouldn't worry too much about that. That fairing/thing is verging on being a deal breaker.

Great vid. That guy is clearly hard core. All power to him, keeping the legacy alive.

Back in the late seventies, I had a friend called Clive, although to us he was "Fash", who had a yellow 450 Desmo single just like that. He was a quirky lad and when he had the bike resprayed, he had the painter letter the sidecovers "Desmond", which raised a few smiles. Really nifty little bike, sounded nice, light and nimble as, but in keeping with the legend of Italian bikes of the era, it was chronically unreliable. He had to get rid of it so he had reliable transport when he began his nursing course, about a year before me actually. Just another of those bikes that make you wonder what became of them.

    Cool Gilera vid .

Growing up the Gilera 124 was a very nice bike of it's day , def liked it .

I never had one but the variety of bikes available was just so much broader .

Indeed Italian bikes had so much heart and soul , an attribute sorely missing today .

    Here's an example of a 124 -
