Hey! I mentioned you in the credits ! And you are THE MAN that brought these. To our attention! What I was thanking JoeP for was GIVING them to me. Maybe (notice how I done that again ?) I paid the postage, I don't remember. But he GAVE me the tools. And I still can't get over how these LITTLE tools made changing that tire so easy. and Springer. You got to come to the dragon to tell me how to not scratch my rims next time.
And didn't you have a Video of this posted. Post it up here for me. Buddy. Good buddy.
I will be MIA at the Dragon again this year.......forgot all about it. Jar texted me a few days ago and asked if I was going. I would love to but I didn't put for any vacation time down for it so I am S.O.L.
I thought I made a video? Maybe not. I will need to check Youtube and Vemo and see.
It really doesn't suprise me Joe gave them to you. He acted a little rough around the edges on the sight but he has a heart of gold.

No Dragon in May for me this year Tom. And no off-road stuff until I put cage on the bike AND a set of nobbies. The tire that came on as stock.......well they really sux in the mud and grass.

BTW, been riding the crapola out of that trials bike. Never had so much fun going so slow!

This forum taught H-D that trick. I think H-D first used it on the 48.

I was home bored between appointments so I drilled my small lower cover to match the upper engine brace/throttle bottle cover. Weeeeee! :-)

I did not want to fork out nearly a hundred bucks for a new foot shift lever. So I disassembled mine from the bike, carefully unscrewed the toe lever that is bent near the threads and carefully tweaked the lever in a table vice back to nearly its original form and function. I can even live with the slightly bent toe lever, for now! ✴ Got me my new battery also. Gonna make the Santa Barbara ride on my used Metzeler tires. Will change them out after my return. Not the best but will have to do.

I made my own lock tool, very simple 4.25" long piece of metal I had in my scrap bin--worked perfectly.IMG_1842.jpgIMG_1839.jpg

Took 3 hours but I worked slowly and carefully. I made a preliminary chain adjustment but will ride it around today and check it again. Can't wait to see the difference at 80-85 mph.
