Hey guys. I'm trying to rebuild my transmission in time for race season. It's not going well.

I've had the output gear (35234-08) on order for like 2 months. And I got it last week. On inspection, it looks like they shipped me the right box but the wrong part (comparing new and old)???

Since US dealers dont ship to canada anymore, can anyone do a favor perhaps make a few calls and see if this part is available locally, thru an online retailer or orderable from milwaukee thru a dealer... like in the next few days?? I can't wait 2 months for another part. I have like a week, two at most.

I've wasted so much time waiting for this part, i really did not need this surprise this late in the game...
It's also possible that the harley fiche is wrong, leading to the wrong part being ordered. in which case i think im screwed.

left is the wrong style, right is the right (old) one.

My auto tuner keeps leaning the bike out until there are some outrageous negative trims. Eventually if I let it tune for a couple hundred miles it will get to the point where the bike becomes starved for fuel and impossible to ride. This is remedied by clearing the trims and starting with my base map. I use the Bub 2-2 map because it is the only 2-2 map and I have the supertrapps. The bike will run fantastic with the base map until the trims get too crazy. If I give the auto tuner 20% control over enrichment and enleanment I will eventually see -20s on the trims on a 13.5 AFR in the map. And if I give it more control it will keep going.

I called PC tech support and they did a remote desktop on my bike and the tech was really helpful. He cleared the map, reset everything and did a firmware upgrade. He confirmed that the units and the O2 sensors were working correctly but he did notice that the trims were crazy and couldn't pin point why. Now that it is still happening they want me to strip it all off and send it in so they can test it... I really don't want to do this.

I know I could just stick with the base map and pull the auto tune out but I just want it to work right!

So before I go stripping everything off I figured I would come here to see if anyone has experienced anything like this or has any ideas.

Thanks guys.

Grips, help

Hey guys,

Hey guys,

I need some help with grips. I need something different front the HD standard issue. On even short rides, my fingers go completely white and numb. Just usually my three fingers in the middle. Thumb and pinky are fine. It happens on both hands. I am not death gripping the handle bars and am loving the ride, but when I can't feel the brake lever anymore, I get a little nervous.

I really have the cause narrowed down to three possibilities.
1. Crappy gloves. Need new ones.
2. Crappy grips. Need something that will dampen road vibrations.
3. Hubby pointed this out, but with my riding position on this bike, my coat cuts into my shoulders a bit tight, possibly cutting off circulation. Hard part is, I am built like a swimmer. I have broad, built shoulders and long arms. I am small otherwise, but wear an XL for the shoulders and sleeve length. It's hard to find a coat that fits me and when I get something I like, it's never in my size. I guess it could be this. I didn't have this problem on the BMW, but the riding position was different too.

So, what do all you geniuses think? What grips would you recommend?
Melissa

Current shocks are 12", XR stock is 14". Given the rake & trail of this bike, (29° / 4.92 in), does this mod make sense? May I expect ok handling? Not looking to be a GP racer, just get some room. Also planning to put in some progressive front springs and heavier oil. Not much info on the web about RAiSING a Dyna, so I thought I'd throw this out here.
